01 Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using INVIlayer ("the Software"), including its INVIcrypt and INVIdecrypt functions, you ("the User") agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
If you do not agree, do not install, copy, or use the Software. The Software is licensed, not sold.

03 Free Trial & Licence
3.1 Public Beta - Free Trial
INVIdata grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use INVIlayer free of charge during its public beta release ("the Free Trial"). The Free Trial is not time-locked to a fixed number of days; you may continue to use the Software while the beta programme remains open.
3.2 Functionality During the Trial
During the Free Trial, all supporting features - including INVIcrypt, INVIdecrypt, and every supported invisible-layer file format - are fully available. There are no feature-level restrictions.

3.4 Beta Status & Transition to Paid Licensing
INVIlayer is currently in beta. The Software may contain bugs, incomplete features, or behavioural changes between releases. By using the Free Trial you accept these conditions and agree to provide reasonable feedback if requested.
Once INVIlayer exits beta, paid licences will be introduced for new INVIcrypt operations. INVIdecrypt operations on files already protected during the trial will continue to work without restriction.
3.5 Licence Types (Available Post-Beta)
- Individual Licence - 1 device, perpetual
- Team Licence - up to 10 devices, perpetual
- Enterprise Licence - site-wide, with optional priority support & SLA

04 User Obligations
You agree to:
- Use INVIlayer only for lawful purposes consistent with the laws of your jurisdiction;
- Keep your passwords confidential - INVIdata cannot recover lost passwords;
- Not redistribute, resell, sublicense, lease, or rent INVIlayer or any modified version thereof;
- Not use INVIlayer to conceal evidence of criminal activity, infringe on others' rights, or violate any applicable law or regulation;
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the proprietary algorithms, file formats, or magic markers used by INVIlayer.
05 Your Data & Passwords
5.1 Local-Only Operation
INVIlayer operates entirely on your local machine. Your data, passwords, and protected files are never transmitted to INVIdata or any third party. No telemetry, no analytics, no usage tracking is performed.
5.2 Password Responsibility
5.3 Local Build Metadata
To support diagnostics and improve beta feedback handling, INVIlayer stores a small local metadata file on your device (build version, install timestamp). This file does not leave your machine, and contains no personal data or document references.
06 Privacy Policy
INVIdata respects your privacy and operates on a zero-data principle for the INVIlayer desktop software.
6.1 What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your files, document contents, or passwords;
- We do not collect your usage frequency or feature analytics;
- We do not use trackers, cookies, or fingerprinting in the desktop application;
- We do not share data with advertisers, brokers, or third parties.
6.2 What We May Collect (Only If You Reach Out)
- If you email support, we retain your email and the conversation for support purposes;
- If you visit our website, your browser may share standard metadata (IP, browser, referrer) handled per our website privacy policy.
07 Intellectual Property
INVIlayer, including its source code, binaries, file format, magic markers, branding, INVIcrypt INVIdecrypt verbs, and related documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of INVIdata Pvt. Ltd.
7.1 Patents
- United States Patent - System for Encrypting Data & Creating Virtual Invisible Partitions;
- Indian Patent - System & Methods for Internal & External Theft Protection.
The patented INVIdata Zerobyte Self-Defence mechanism powers INVIlayer's invisible-partition technology and is protected by these patents.
7.2 Cryptographic Algorithms
The cryptographic core of INVIlayer - the INVIcrypt engine, our Invisible User Partition (IUP) architecture, and the Zerobyte Self-Defence mechanism - is the proprietary, internationally patented innovation of INVIdata Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Our intellectual property covers the integration, file format, invisible-partition implementation, engine design, and product expression that together produce the invisible-protection effect.
08 Use Restrictions
You may not use INVIlayer to:
- Conceal, hide, or destroy evidence of any criminal investigation;
- Protect data that is subject to legal hold, court order, or regulatory preservation requirement;
- Violate any laws of your jurisdiction, including (but not limited to) data protection, financial regulations, or national security laws;
- Distribute, share, or sublicense the Software or its constituent files;
- Attempt to extract, replicate, or reverse-engineer the proprietary invisible-partition format or magic markers;
- Bundle, embed, or redistribute INVIlayer in other software without a written distribution agreement from INVIdata.
09 Warranty & Liability
9.1 Software Provided "As Is"
INVIlayer is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind - express, implied, or statutory. INVIdata does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every operating environment.
9.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, INVIdata, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:
- Loss of data, files, or password;
- Loss of revenue, profit, or business opportunity;
- Consequential, indirect, incidental, or punitive damages;
- Damages arising from your use, misuse, or inability to use the Software.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, INVIdata's total cumulative liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the Software during its Free Trial / Beta release shall be limited to providing a corrected or updated version of the Software, at INVIdata's sole discretion. Because the Software is currently distributed free of charge, no monetary refund or compensation is payable in connection with the Free Trial.
10 Export Notice
INVIlayer contains cryptographic functionality as part of its proprietary INVIcrypt engine. Certain jurisdictions restrict the import, export, or use of cryptographic software regardless of its underlying construction.
INVIlayer must not be exported, re-exported, transferred, or used in countries or territories subject to comprehensive trade sanctions imposed by the Government of India or the United Nations.
11 Termination
This licence is effective until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling INVIlayer and destroying all copies in your possession.
INVIdata may terminate your licence immediately, without notice, if you breach any term of this agreement. On termination, you must stop using INVIlayer and remove it from your devices.
Your previously protected files remain decryptable using your retained password and an installed INVIlayer binary; termination of the licence does not retroactively encrypt or destroy your data.
12 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this agreement is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
